v (* dí-fo-tracc-, Pedersen Vgl. Gr. ii 653 ) desires, wishes . A `preterite-present', GOI § 619 (see also 543, 694), `Prat. (meist mit Präs.-Bedeutung)', Ped. Deut. forms in O.Ir. glosses show -thracc- in present meaning, -tharc- in pret. meaning in indic. In later lang. only -thrac(c)- appears. Sigmatic forms have both ¤ra- and ¤ar-.
