Expropriates: diam[b]sa rí ... ní fur- gébaind mo thúatha ZCP iv 468 § 7 .

(b) in follg. exx. seems to mean attacks (thrusts, pierces) with some pointed weapon (cf. forgab): cid ro oir[r], cid forgaba .i. cid be oirgit o n-adarcaib gores (?) O'Dav. 1328 . sāid ind fir di mil forgaibther (.i. for a tabar ... in forgomh) his fill of honey for the man who is stung Laws iv 176.24 (178.5) . Cf. further: fer fororggaib forggab for a chomlonn co tregda in fer tria scíath; ... fer forgaib cimbid ...; fer forgaib éclann ar belaib sluaig ... co tuit di óenḟorggub, Críth G. 554 ( Laws iv 336 ).
