reflexive and reciprocal preverb used before compound vbs. to form new compounds. The an may be a petrified poss. pron. p. 3, or an infix. pron. s. 3 m. It is used impersonally, (i) with the prep. DO e.g. ceni immonacai dun, IT ii2 190.2 . (ii) with the first noun (or pronoun) introduced by the prep. DO, the second with FRI e.g. immanarnic dosom frisin Liath Macha, LU 8458 , or in ordinary personal use e.g. immanaiccet int shlúaig, TBFr. 176. See Pedersen Vgl.
