(d) The sense is not clear in Laws: fuatach fo tairisin `carrying off under compact,' Laws iii 486.7 . Cf. fuatach gin tairisim, iv 270.x . The following two exx. are translated ` tarrying ' as if the word were identical with tairissem: tellach fo leth toirisin .i. ar daigin leth tairisechta, v 462.22 text, 464.2-3 Comm. fuaslaicter ar tairisean .i. ar daigin tairisechta, 464.11 text, 24 Comm. Cf. ni haclaidh nach toirisiud ... .i. uair nocha tabuir aclaidh for nech inní doní ar daigne tairisichta, H 3.17 col. 448 ( O'D. 592 ).
