Marstrander ( Bidrag 28 ) prefers the reading n-eoburu, which he connects with ON jǫfurr, AS eofor. As the passage is mainly a list of animals the meaning boar would not be out of place here, but Marstrander ( Bidrag 29 ) suggests boar-helmet (ON. galthjelm). Pokorny rejects ON connection and derives it from OE eofor ZCP xiii 119-20 .
