In Mid.Ir. commonly treated as a weak ā-stem, but the 3 s. pret. ro rir (not to be confounded with ro-ír, from ernaid) persists till a comparatively late period; an analogous formation is 1 s. pret. ro rer , ZCP xii 365.17 , BS 38.24 . The fut. stem rir- occurs somet. in mixed formation with b- inflections: 1 s. noco ririub , LU 10778 ( IT i 127.30 ). 3 s. rel. rirfes, SR 1073. 3 s. ririss, ZCP xii 235.30 ; 236.1 ; 237.11 may belong to another vb.
